REQUISITION OF COAL.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ACTION. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. August 17. The Federal Government has seized all coal in the hulks in the harbours of Australia. TIMBER MILLS DESTROYED. SYDNEY, August 17. Water's timber mills at Wollongong, a seaport 40 miles south-west of Sydney, were destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at many thousands of pounds.
