REBATES TO PRODUCERS

The financial year of the Aucklarw Farmers Freezing Company closed oj June 30. The result of the year's opera tions was recently reviewed by the direc tors, who decided to allow all dairy com pany shareholders a rebate of 74 per cent on freezing and chilling charges on dairj produce received at the works during th< year. The charges on butter are to bi calculated at od a box, and on cheese ai one-sixteenth of a penny per lb. The re bates will not be paid in cash, but i deduction of per cent, will be mads from the freezing and chilling charges oi dairy produce received at the works dur ing the current —July 1, 1917, U JiiDe 30, 1918 until the amount of th< rebate is worked off. Any rebates no worked off by June 30 will revert to the company. I It was also decided to make a similar rebate on freezing charges on stock killed during the year on the same conditions.
