NAVAL RELIEF FUND.
Lntobjtation as to the disposal of the Naval Relief Fund raised in New Zealand has been received by the local branch of the Navy League from the secretary of the parent league. A total of about £100,000 was forwarded from the Dominion last year in aid of the naval men ana their dependants; of this sum, £9000 have been paid out, and the secretary states that the remainder of the money has been placed on deposit, . only the interest being used for relief work, as it is expected that before the eud of the war there will be very heavy demand on the fund.
