CAUSE OF RESIGNATION OF TURKISH CABINET.
QUARREL BETWEEN GRAND VIZIER AND WAR MINISTER Australian and .Z. Cable Association. ATHENS July 17
The crisis which resulted in the resignation of the Turkish Cabinet originated in a violent quarrel between Talaat Pasha, the Grand Vizier, and Enver Pasha, Minister for War, over the latter's report on measures the adoption of which he considered urgent in the military interests of Turkey.
(Received 11 p.m.) ROME, July 17. Ecclesiastical sources in Turkey report that the resignation of Talaat Pasha was due to his conviction that only a separate peace could save Turkey. The food shortage is unbearable. The bread ration for the army is now four ounces.
