BILLIARDS.
CRYSTALATE CUP TOURNAMENT. The game last evening was between J. Russell and C. Hemus. The play was of an even nature, the players reaching the 100 mark together. At half-way Russell was 11 in front, and managed to maintain his lead until 280 was reached, when Hemus scored some good breaks, with the result that they were together again at 300. Russell then made a 27 break and kept in front right through, although Hemus compiled a break of 33. Game was called: Russell, 500; Hemus. 391. The winner's best breaks were 21. 27. 22. 27. and the loser's 33. 21. 21. The tournament will be continued this evening, when the players will be F. Farrell and C. Barnes.
