BUSHMAN INJURED.

A Bushman named William McGregor was seriously injured at Mangapeehi. He was riding to work on the front of a horse-trolley when the trolley encountered a landslip, and McGregor was caught by a projecting root and dragged under the trolley wheels and sustained serious and most painful injuries. His chest was crushed, several ribs on the right side were broken, and one lung is pierced by the broken ribs. He also sustained a fracture of the shoulder-blade. The injured man was brought by his mates' a distance of 10 miles by trolley, and he was afterwards brought to Taumarunuri Hospital by Mr. Hunt. He reached the hospital nine hours after the accident, the quickest possible means the baok blocks could afford having been used.
