DUNEDIN, Tuesday. The Union Steam Ship Company was advised this afternoon that the steamers which were sent in quest of the abandoned Waitotara, after practically two days' search in the vicinity, had failed to'find any sign of the vessel. Captain Ritchie is of the opinion that the Waitotara must have foundered. The steamers Bent to try to assist in her rescue have been ordered by cablegram to proceed to their original destination.
