Henry Sampson, for a second breach of his prohibition order, wag fined £2, in < default seven days' imprisonment. William Williams, a third offender for drunkenness, who had 108 previous convictions, was convicted and discharged. For the ninth breach of Ms prohibition order he was ordered to come up for sent, ence when called upon. Edwin C. S. Gollan, for drunkeness and breach of his prohibition order, was sentenced to 12 months' detention at Roto Boa. Eugene O'Grady, charged with being a rogue and vagabond, was sentenced to three months' > imprisonment, while 'Heta Harawiri,a Maori soldier, for committing a grossly indecent act in a public telephone booth, was . handed over to tile military authorities for punishment. John Collins was fined £1 and costs for using obscene language. •
