POSITION OF SHAREHOLDERS.

DUNEDIN. Thurnday. The Union Steam Ship Company has received official advice that it is intended to create a colonial registry for P. and 0. stock held in New Zealand and Australia. P. and 0. dividends to holders in New Zealand will be paid free of the British income tax. The position of preference shareholders in New Zealand is unaltered.
