CRIMINAL SESSIONS.
PRISONER SENTENCED. [BT TELEGRAM.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Thursday. Thb criminal sessions of the Supreme Court were continued to-day. Edwin Richardson was acquitted on the charge of being unlawfully in a dwelling in Ngaruawahia, with intent to commit a crime.
William Leahey, who was convicted of horse stealing at Taumarunui, and of having carnal knowledge of a girl under 16 years, was sentenced to one year's imprisonment on the first charge, and two years' imprisonment en the second, the terms to run concurrently. A telegram from the Defence Department stated that the accused had been discharged as incorrigible from the Expeditionary Force.
