(Beceived 11.80 p.m.) LONDON, June 7. v ' A French*commun:ique states: After a bombardment the Germans '£&?. delivered several attacks at different points between the Aillette Eiver and Laonne Road, and north-west of Bray-en-Laonnois. Our fire 'immedately smashed two attempts against Mortierre Wood. A moet II intense artillery duel is in progress along the Chemin des Dames. The f■-. Germans launched two waves of attack against our positions near is Hurfcebise, but were thrown back after furious fighting. The enemy ' ■ suffered appreciably in his concentrated efforts, and only succeeded V,. in' reaching our lines at a single point. Some portions of our front "2> line trench remained in-the enemy's hands. Everywhere else he was '.% thrown back. There is a lively artillery struggle in the Nieuport ■ : $-P sector of Belgium, and actions occurred on the Belgian front last night. :?*■' Seven German aeroplanes and a captive balloon were brought down.
