MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE.
MAORI SENT FOR TRIAL.

HASTINGS. Thursday. The charge of manslaughter against Whaingaroa Wirihana, who is alleged to have caused the death of a newspaper runner named Rupert Maney, by driving a motor-car at an excessive speed, was heard to-day, the accused being committed "for trial. The fatality occurred on May, 18, the boy being run over.
