After a j pause, owing •toan . injury to a Shore player,' Ponsonby' again forced through, . and- McClymont scored after ':•»; scrum on the line.' i Cross converted 'the. try. The match played on Saturday between •he Richmond and Everton senior teams resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. The ground was somewhat slippery, thus readering fast play difficult. Richmond won the toss, and commenced a dashing offensive. Play continued around Everton's goal for most of the time, th? blue and black goalkeeper saving some tine shots. On several occasions the Everton forwards attacked well, but were defeated by the Richmond backs, who constituted a solid defence, feeding their halves and forwards from time to time with well placed kicks. Give and take play then continued, a free kick for Everton yielding no result. From a melee near Richmond goal Everton made an excellent shot at the net, but Wylie executed a good save, diving tor the ball, and slipping it round the post. •>lftime whistle then sounded.
