EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
RESULTS OF THIRD WEEK. DdrKO the third week of the Auckland I'oulfrykeepers Association's egg-laying competition at Albany the birds shewed better form in producing eggs, although the climatic conditions were still unfavourable. A total of 498 eggs was gathered, compared with, ail eggs for the first week.' The total production for the three weeks is 1100. The leading totals for the third week are;— Light 'Breeds; K. Wallace, Takapuna, 28 eggs: Rallabia Stud Farm, Mastcrton, 26; C, P. Shaw, Thames, 23. Black Minorca; (r. H, Rlaker, lauranca, 16 eggs, Black Leghorns; Miss P. Heighway, Mount Albert, 25 egg'. Heavy Breeds.—Black Orpingtons: W. Blomfield, Avondale South, 26 eggs: Hokowhifu Poultry Company. Upper Hult 12. White Wvandottes: S. H. Scott, Avondale South, 16 eggs. Silver Wynndottes: A. MigourotT, Mstakana, 13 eggs. Leading Aggregates.—While Leghorns: Reliable Stmf Farm, Jfaoterton, 77 eggs; K. Wallace, Takapuna. ft; G. H, Shaw, Thames, 81. Black Leghorns: Miss V. Heighway, Mount Albert. 58 eggs, Minorca*: G. H. Blaker, Tsurapga, 37 eggs. Block Orpingtons: W, Blomfield, Ayoudale South. 56 eggs. White WyandotUa: S, If. Scott, Avondale South, 43 eggs, Silver' Wyendottes; A. Migouroff, Matakapa, 29 eggs.
