SUBTERRANEAN FORTRESSES BEHIND A RAMPART. Australian -md N.Z. Cablo Association. PARIS, May 11. The newspaper Gaulbis states that General Hindenburg's positions are no longer merely two or three parallel continuous trenches, but a fortified zone composed of a series of centres of resistance like subterranean fortresses behind a rampart of advanced trenches.
