SUPERANNUATION GRANTS.
-«> _ THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD. [BY TELEGRATH.— rRF.SS ASSOCIATION'.] WELLINGTON. Saturday. The quarterly, meeting of tho Public Service Superannuation Board granted annual allowances totalling £4287 to 23 contributors who have- retired. Under section 35 six retired men medically unlit were (-ranted allowances aggregating £389. Sixteen widows were granted statutory allowances totalling £522. A policeman retired medically unfit, as tho result of injuries received in tho execution of duty, was granted an additional allowance. Jn consequence of retirements under section 35, accrued compensation, amounting to £10,376. became a liability of tho superannuation fund. The amount at credit of tho fund on April 30 was £956,226, an increase of £126,732 on tho year.
