BRITISH AND GERMAN. ______ 0 BALANCE AGAINST ENEMY. A. and N.Z. Cable. LONDON. March 26. In the House of Commons to-day Mr. J. F. Hope, Junior Lord of the Treasury, stated that the prisoners of war in British hands at present totalled 71,688. Of these, 55,397 were Germans, 16 were Austrians, 763 were Bulgarians, and 15,512 were Turks. . He believed that Germany held 32,500 British prisoners.
