Weeber. PRIVATE ADVICES. Mr. E. Leydon, of Sussex Street, Grey Lynn, has received advice that his son, Private Bert E. Leydon, was admitted to the Walton-on-Thames Hospital on February 25, suffering from gunshot wounds in the right arm, and that amputation had been necessary. Prior to his leaving on active service Private Leydon was employed at the ' Newmarket Railway Worksimps. Re was an enthusiastic footballer and a member of the City Club. In a letter from Bishop Cleary, published yesterday, mention was made of the fact that a fragment of shrapnel fell between him and a yountf Aucklander.
