COMPULSION IN CANADA.
MEN FOE HOME SERVICE. ' TO BE APPLIED IF NECESSARY. A. and N.Z. Cable. OTTAWA, Feb. 15. The Government is considering the calling out o! the militia, under the compulsory provisions of the Militia Act, in order to guard the American border, and so release 50,000' more troops from Canada for operations overseas. It is believed that voluntaryism will first be tried, and then, if recruits for home service do not volunteer, compulsion will be enforced.
