S. j J. Ambury, A. Rowlands, and T. Simson ; acted in a similar capacity for the employers. Mr. S. E. Wright was advocate I for the employers, and Mr. W. E. Sill appeared for the union. After a discussion lasting about two hours, and oonducted on amicable terms, the employers' representatives retired for consultation. On returning they stated that it had been decided that the posiI tions of the men on strike were still open to them if they chose to return to work. Tho representatives of the union stated that they would convey this intimation to the men. On the motion by Mr. Simson, seconded by Mr. Sill, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the commissioner.
