I CONCLUSION OF THE TOUR. i VISIT TO BIRKENHEAD. 1 Titk final function in connection with the visit, of the Parliamentary party to Auck-I land was held yesterday, when the party,' to the number of about thirty, visited the, Birkenhead Borough. At . Chelsea the ! visitors were the guests ofMhe Colonial, Sugar Refining Company. They werei shown over the sugar works by the works' manager, Mr, E. V.' Miller, and were; afterwards entertained at luncheon by the [ company, Mr,'W. J, W. Ehilson, Auck- ' land manager of the company, presiding. ' At three o'clock the party proceeded by special boat to Birkenhead, where they | were met by. the Mayor, Mr. McPhail, ( and the borough councillors.- The guests were conveyed round the borough in motor-cars, and were entertained at a garden party at the residence of the deputy-Mayor, Mr. 0. E. Campbell. The visitors were welcomed by the Mayor and Mr. Wallace, and speeches in reply were "inde by Sir Frederick Jaw, Messrs. A. Harris and J. A. Young, M.P.'s. The party afterwards were the guests of Mr. Clement Wrasge at his residence.
