A2JDEBSON. . ; Sergeant J. G. Anderson, reported killed in action, was the eldest son of Mr. John . Anderson, 01 Uondee, Scotlmd. He was 32 years of age. As a youth he enlisted 0] in the 42nd Black Watch, in which regi- *'V£ ment he served in India and elsewhere for ; ' a number of years. On his resignation { from the army he came to New Zealand, O and settled in the Bay of Plenty district, where he was engaged for the last five J| i years in farming pursuits. Ha has two brothers in the fixing line. - V' BOMBARDIER T. L PROSSER " j Bombardier T. Ivan Prosser, who has been killed in action, was the elder sou of Captain T. H. Prossex, of Remuera. ~ He was born in London, and educated chiefly at St. • Mark's school, Windsor. After making several voyages with lis father to the Dominion, he settled in New | Zealand, being employed as a cadet in the j farming districts of Wailiui Downs, 3is- [ borne, and Bay c.l islands. Just prior to the I war he took up land in the Silverdale I district, but on the outbreak of hostilities s was one of the first to join the Main Expeditionary Force, and sailed from, [Auckland with the first contingent. He -• fought in Egypt and Gallipoli, and from j the latter place he was invalided to Etie--1 land, where he remained for five month?, returning to Egypt on light duties. In April last he went to France, where he was recently killed in action. He was keen in all kinds of sports, and while at Windsor was a prominent footballer for . his college.
