STEAMER LOST IN GALE
FOUNDERS OFF FRENCH COAST
A. and N.Z. Cable. LONDON. Oct. 31. The Elder-Dempster steamer Bornu, of 3259 tons, built in 1899, foundered 25 miles west of Ushant in a heavy, gale. All hands were saved.
