GOLDEN WEDDING.
Mr. and Mrs. D. Lundon celebrated their golden wedding last Friday. A family dinner party was held at their residence, Norana Avenue, at which most of their children and grandchildren were present. An escritoire with a gold plate, on which tho dato was inscribed, was presented to tho venerable couple. Mr. and Mrs. Lundon were married at St. Matthew's Church by the Rev. Thomas Chapman on October 27, 1856, and for many years made their home in Taurang.-i, afterwards residing in Rotorua and now in Rcmuera. There are four daughters— Mesdames H. Lundius (Wanganui). G. Christian (Rcmuera), J. S. George (Paparata), and Miss Lundon (Remuera)— three sons—Messrs. Fred Lundon (Taranaki), Frank Lundon (Brisbane), and Bert ■Lundon (Hobart)-most of whom journeyed home for the eventful gathering.
