TWENTY MORE YESTERDAY.

THIRTEEN PASS THE DOCTOR.

Twenty men enrolled at the city recruiting station yesterday, and of that number 13 were accepted, six were deferred, and one was rejected as unfit for active service. Two recruits who were deferred at the first examination were accepted yesterday.

The Auckland military district was asked to cal) up and despatch to camp by to-day's midday train 173 recruits to make good the district's shortage for tho twenty-second reinforcement draft, but, according to tho response mado to the call for volunteers, that number is not likely to be available. Of the 99 asked for from No. 1. city, group only 24 were available last evening. Others who desire to proceed to camp to-day may do so on application at the recruiting station this morning.
