ALLIED SUCCESSES SOUTH-EAST OF MONASTIR.
PROGRESS MADE BY THE SERVIANS AND FRENCH. Australian and N.Z. Cable. (Received 7.20 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 29. A French communique states: "Tho Servians made progress at the bend of the Tserna River, south-east of Monastir. The French % captured Gardelovo, seized a system of trenches between Kcnali and the Tserna River, and destroyed a munition depot northward of Kissovo." A Servian communique states: " Fighting on the whole front has been favourable to us. We captured some trenches." BETTERMENT OF ALLIES RELATIONS WITH GREECE. SALONIKA MOVEMENT SOLELY ANTI-BULGARIAN IN AIM ALLIES ADVANCE £400,000 TO PROVISIONAL GOVERNMENT. Australian and N.Z Cable Association. LONDON, Oct. 29. The Athens correspondent of the Observer states that the betterment of relations between the allies and Greece is duo to tho assurances given by the Greek Government that it recognises the Salonika movement as solely anti-Bulgarian in aim. The Government also understands that the allies will regard any attempt to hinder the movement as a breach of faith. Hence it has agreed not to place any obstacles in the way of reinforcing the Greek force at Salonika. It is officially stated in Athens that with a view to dispelling the allies' distrust the King has ordered the transfer of the forces from Epirus and Thessaly to Peloponnesus, leaving only sufficient troops to maintain order. Tinwg. LONDON, Oct. 29. A corrcsponebnt at Athens states that King Constantine struck off the naval and military cadres all officers who have joined M. Venizelos. The allies have requested that the names be restored, and that those detained bo released. A Greek general has gone to Cyprus and Egypt to collect Venizelist volunteers. The allies have advanced £400,000 to the Provisional Government at Salonika.
