THE LEAGUE GAME.
LEASE OF NEW GROUND. . A meeting of the Auckland Rugby League was held last evening. Present: Mr. R. Benson, chairman, Messrs. R. Pollock, K. McDonald, C. Baker, R. W. Tatton, T. Fielding, N. D. Culpan. R. A. Spinley. and I. Fellowes. The Junior Advisory Board reported that it had discussed the weight question and recommended that the various grades.- be defined as follows:—Fourth grade, lOst with no allowances; fifth grade, 9stwith no allowances; sixth grade, Bst alb and 161 years of age on May 1. The board stated that in future every player would be weighed at the commencement of the season and that any team .playing unweighed men would bo liable to loae the match without protest. It was resolved to adopt the board's recommend, aliens.
Correspondence was received from the secretary of the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board stating that tho board agreed to the Hon. A. M. Myers and Messrs. J. Carlaw and J. Endean acting as guarantors in connection with the new lease granted to the league for the Stanley Street reserve. Mr. Ah Chce, the present lessee, wag present, and discussed a proposal to vacato a portion of tho ground in favour of the league.
Mr. G. R. Sinclair, secretary of the Telegraph Messengers' Club, wrote thanking tho league for its assistance during the past season, ■
