FIGHT NEAR MUKDEN.
CHINESE AND JAPANESE. BARRACKS BESIEGED. 1 JAPANESE REINFORCEMENTS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received 1.25 a.m.; TOKIO. August 15. Chinese troops have attacked the Japanese at Chengchiatun. near Mukden, the capital of Manchuria. There were several Japanese casualties. The Chinese are besieging the barracks. The Japanese are rushing reinforcements to the locality.
