A public reception will be extended to the Corinthic's contingent of sick and wounded soldiers in one of the Auckland Harbour Board's sheds on the Queen's Wharf at noon on Monday. The steamer is expected to arrive at an early hour, and the men will come ashore at 8.30 a.m., at which time the medical board will commence work. The officers of the Base Records and Pay Departments will also be in attendance.

Speeches will be delivered at the reception by the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. J. H. Gunson, and the officer commanding the Auckland military district, Colonel G. W. S. Patterson. The members of the Women's Patriotic League will provide light refreshments for the returned soldiers.

Arrangements are being made to despatch the men for Southern districts by Monday evening's Main Trunk train.
