His ! c ' Worship objected to the manner in which j J--1 Mr. Hurlev was examining a witness, and ; , | what was considered by the Bench to be ' J, lan impudent reply was given. Whereupon I the magistrate ordered counsel out of the ; I Court for the time being. : J At the conclusion of the business of the ; ] Court, Mr. Hurley was brought hack and ' ; '■ charged with contempt of Court. He : 'made an explanation,'but the magistrate ■ ' ! asked for an apology. ; J 1 Mr. Hurley: What sort of an apology '. !do vou want ? : ! His Worship: I want a straight-out;'' apologv without any equivocation. \ x Mr. Hurlev: Well, vou will not get it. j l His Worship : You will be lined £2. J 1
