QUESTION OF NATIONALITY.
WRONG STATEMENT RECTIFIED.
[by TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOC J ATTQ.V. 1 Wellington, Wednesday. The Minister for Defence made a statement in the House to-day regarding Major Schwitzer, whose nationality had been called into question. He himself had previously stated that Major Schwitzer's parents were German. He was pleased to say that this was not correct. Major Schwitzer was bom in England, where his forefathers had lived for many centuries. He was glad to be able to make this fact known.
