■ LANDS IN LILLE. CURIOUS INCIDENT. (Received June 28, 11 p.m.) LONDON. JUNE 27. - In the House of Lords a com« plaint was made by Lord Montague of Beaulieu that an aeroplane left) Britain on May 31, and had not reached its destination. He read an officer's letter stating that the pilot did not know his way, and three hours after levying Farnborough the latest British machine landed intact in t the German aerodrome at Lille. Earl Ourzon, in reply, said a similar thing had happened to German pilots. It was one of the risks that had to be run. MR. BILLING'S CHARGES. MEMBER DISCURSIVE. LONDON.' JUNE 27. When giving evidence before the committee set up to inquire into his allegations against the manner in which the British air service is con- | ducted, Mr. Pemberton Billing, member of the House of Commons for East Herts, was frequently asked by the Judge to come to close quarters instead of ~ talking at large. Other members charged Mr. Billing with wasting time in .trying to prove hypothetical, cases by dissertations.
