BRITISH AIRMEN BRING DOWN FOKKERS.
FRENCH AEROPLANES BOMB GERMAN SHIPS. ITALIAN MACHINES MAKE SUCCESSFUL RAID. (Received June 28. 9.20 p.m.) LONDON. JUNE 27. Five British aircraft yesterday engaged four Fokkers on the enemy's side of the line. Two of the Fokkers were brought down. Two more enemy machines were driven down in the course of the day. Armed French aeroplanes dropped 65 shells on German vessels near the Belgian coast. An Italian air squadron on Monday dropped 50 heavy bombs on the Galliano railway station. Satisfactory results were observed, and the machines returned safely. Calliano is a. small town of 2000 inhabitants in the Lower Adige Valley, 10 miles south of Trent.
