She should arrive about tho same hour to-day. and will berth at the Queon's Wharf. The Monowai sails on the return voyage on Saturday afternoon. Haying completed the discharge of the Auckland portion of her cargo, the \ixirilai sailed for Wellington yesterday morning to continue unloading. The Te Anau sailed for Southern ports last evening. She is to load at Timaru, Oamaru, and the Bluff for Auckland. The finishing touches wore put to the steamer Pntiki yesterday, and the vessel returned to _Wellington last night, after a, six weeks' visit. The Kakapo left for TatarariM last night, to load timber for Sydney. The Kaiapoi went across to Chelsea last night to put out the balance of her coal. On completion of discharge the collier returns to Newcastle to load coal for Auckland. WESTRALIA DELAYED. The local office of Huddart-Parker, Ltd., advise that the steamer Westralia, which should have left Sydney yesterday for Auckland. was detained, and will sail to-day. She should arrive here 'on Tuesday morning, and is timed to sail for the South on Wednesday. The call at Lyttelton will be omitted. RUAPEHU DUE TO-DAY. Messrs. A. H. Nathan. Ltd.. local agents for the Federal-Shire chartered steamer Ruapeha, advise that she ia expected to arrive here from Sydney at noon to-day. On discharge of 1800 tons, of cargo from the West of England, the Ruapehu sails for tho South. THE VICTORIA. The Huddart-Parker steamer Victoria is ■not leaving Wellington until to-morrow. It is hoped that . she will bo ablo to work Napier and Gisborno on Saturday, and reach here on Sunday evening, in which case the will sail for Sydney at 5.30 p.m. on Monday. NEW C. AND D. STEAMERS. Elaborate preparations are being made by the Commonwealth and Dominion Lino to meet the probable rush of business at the conclusion of the war. Information has reached Sydney that, in addition .to the Port Darwin, already mentioned, six other vessels are in course of construction, and in order that delivery will bo made as early as possible, the contract has been divided between two firms of builders. The six vessels will all be of similar class and typo to tho Port Darwin, that is, not so large as the Makarini and Star of Victoria, but equally as fast, and. of course, will all have tho prefix "Port."
