DEFENCE OF ATTITUDE. LONDON, JUNE 26. . At the meeting of the Zinc Corporation, Mr. Oovett defended the Corporation's refusal to join the spelter amalgamation on the ground that the terms were very unfavourable. Any insinuation that the Corporation's attitude was unpatriotic was disproved by its efforts to cancel the German contract. The Corporation was still negotiating for the treatment of its own concentrates, and was awaiting the result of experiments.
