SATURDAY'S GAMES POSTPONED. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League was held last evening. Present: Messrs. R. Benson, in the chair. R. Tutton. T. Fielding, R. McDonald. J. Endean. J. Fellowea. C Baker, R. Pollock, N. Culpan, and R. H. Spinley. It was decided to postpone all the fooioaH matches fixed for Saturday, in view of the fact that the day is a national holiday, being the King's birthday, and that a large number of players will be employed by the Auckland Racing Club. Had the games been played it was realised they would have been farcical in the senior competition, and probably the weaker clubs would have won against the depleted ranks of the other clubs it was also recognised that the league owed the public everything, and that the postponement of the games would enable the followers to witness the leading teams play off on the following Saturday. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.

A meeting of the Auckland Football Association was held on Tuesday evening Present: Messrs. D. A. Williams, chairman. J. CarmicbHel. J. Kirk, J. Campbell, H. Gribble, R. Harrison and L. Warren, Hon. secretary. It was resolved that, owing: to the reduced number of teams entered in the various competitions under the military age restriction, the Victoria Park ground granted by the City Council is not required this season, and the secretary was instructed-to notify the council to that effect. It is very necessary that club secretaries forward a written result of the Saturday's matches in which thev play to Mr. Warren care Sports Club. His Majesty's Arcade, be.fore 7.50 each Tuesday. The Referees' Association still requires the • services of those capable and willing to act a 8 referees. Application was received from the volunteers of the Expeditionary Force hot; encamped at Narrow Neck for a match to be arranged with them for Saturday last. Ike request was received too late for last week, but an endeavour will be made to secure a team of olayers to give them a game in the near future.
