A Turkish report stated that 3000 British soldiers were lying dead in front of the enemy positions after Sunday's fighting at Felahieb. The War Office states Sir Percy Lake reports that our total of killed - and wounded was much below this figure. He states that the medical arrangements are generally satisfactory. Sir Percy Lake adds that the weather has been very bad. On Wednesday there was a hurricane, accompanied by torrential rain. The floods on both banks of the river are increasing.
