MOUNT ROSKILL SCHOOL.
An interesting ceremony took place at the Mount Roskill school on Monday afternoon, when Mr. J. Peet, tho chairman of the District School Committee, in the presence of tho assembled pupils, presented 64 good attendance certificates won last year. The chairman congratulated the pupils on their regular attendance, and, on behalf of the committee, awarded with each certificate a suitable book prize. A book was also presented to Donald Jenkins as a mark of the committee's appreciation of his success in winning a district scholarship. The opportunity was also taken of presenting Mr. C. J. Harden, first assistant, who has been promoted to tho Grey Lynn school, with a travelling bag.
