BOMBARDMENT OF DURAZZO BY AUSTRIAN WARSHIPS.
PROPOSED MOVEMENT AGAINST ESSAD PASHA. TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND SERVIANS IN ALBANIA. (Received December 10, 10 pjn.) Loxnox, December 9. A Montenegrin communique states that- nine Austrian waships from Cattaro bombarded Durazzo, the capital of Albania, sinking several steamers. A number of Albanian chiefs have gone to Xovi Bazar to confer with Prince William of Wied, with a view to starting a movement against Essad Pasha. It is officially stated in Rome that there are Sno.noo Servian troops in AlbaniaWilliam of Wied is the German prince who was nominate to the threw* of Albama, and after ruling insecurely for a short period, fled on the outbreak of war. Essad Pasha was the first Minuter for Defence of the new kingdom and when Prince William fled, he became virtual ruler. He has shown himself sympathetically inclined towards th* allies. He is among the ablest 0 Albanian generals, is a Mahommedan, and a largo landholder.
