WOMEN'S TEMPERANCE UNION
The annual meeting of the Auckland Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in the Central Mission Hall on Wednesday "afternoon. Mrs. J. Cook presided. Reports were received from the superintendents of the various departments of work, and Miss Dewar presented the balance-sheet. The following officers were elected : —President, Mrs. Cook; vice-presi-dents, Mrs. Smeeton, Mrs. Thorpe, Mrs. Mason, and Mrs. Pudney; organising treasurer, Miss Dewar; treasurer, Mrs. McLean; corresponding secretary, Miss N. Dewar; recording secretary, Miss Evans.
