The Odland left for Kaipara yesterday to load timber for Sydney. The Ruapehu is expected to. leave Wellington to-day for Auckland, and is due her* on lion day. * The Paloona is due from Southern porta to-morrow. She will probably berth at the King's Wharf She will leave on her return to the South at 2 pjn. on Tuesday. En route from London to Auckland, the steamer Ruahine arrived at Capetown on Wednesday. She is due h«Te on January 4. wit'u. 275 passengers for New Zealand and 2000 tons of cargo for Auckland. The Ashburton is expected to arrive from Hobart. in continuation of her voyage from Montreal, to-morrow; 1700 tons of general cargo will be discharged here, and the steamer will probably sail at daybreak on Wednesday to put out the balance of her cargo at Southern ports. The Melanesi&n mission steamer Southern Cross left Norfolk Island on Thursday. She Is due here to-morrow, and vul berth at No. 2 Jetty. The following passengers will arrive by the steamer:—Revs. C. W. Turner. G. K. Moir. R. G. Sprott, Mrs. C. W. Turner. Nurse Miller, and Nurse" Sunderland. Owing to the bad weather encountered after leaving Vancouver, the R.M.S. Niagara is not expected to arrive at Auckland until Monday afternoon. Provisionally her departure has been fixed for 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The Katoa left the powder grounds for Sydney yesterday. The Soaks chartered steamer Hebburn completed leading wool yesterday, and sailed , last evening for Wellington to complete loading for Boston. .The HudcParker steamer Westralia arrived last e -ening from Dunedim via ports. ®nd berthe< at the Queen's Wharf. The Westralia Sills on the return voyage at 1 P.m. to-day. Owing to her late arrival here the Westralia will not take cargo tor Gia borne and Napier.
