THE ZEPPELIN RAIDS.
INQUESTS ON VICTIMS.
PATHETIC EVIDENCE.
(Received October IS. 130 a.m.)
London, October 17.
A number of inquests on the victims of the recent Zeppelin raid have been opened. Out of ten cases in one Coroner's Court five of the victims died of heart failure and shock, and there were similar cases elsewhere.
One woman heard the guns and clasped her husband's hand. He said to her, '* Never mind ; we will die together," but his wife was already dead from shock. Another woman fell downstairs in her fright and was killed.
Seventeen bombs fell in another district. Five people were killed, four were mortally wounded and two died from shock. Three of those killed were boys who were sleeping together. In another case a father, mother and daughter were buried in the | wreckage of their house. Elsewhere | a youth ran out into the street and : was fatally wounded, whereas a I friend who remained behind was unhurt.
