ZEPPELIN RAIDERS.
THE GERMAN STORY.
DUTCH FIRE ON AIRSHIP. London, October J5.
The Germans claim that the airships which raided London and the East Coast dropped many bombs on docks and waterworks and important establishments in London and Woolwich, and on the batteries at Ipswich. Big fires and explosions followed. Despite a vigorous attack all the airships returned without being damaged.
A Berlin official message states that the naval airships encountered a vigorous counter-action when they reached the English coast. They dropped incendiary and explosive bombs, London City sustaining several attacks.
Advices from Rotterdam state that several Zeppelins were observed yesterday flying in a south-easterly direction. One was maimed and was flying low, with jerky movements at eccentric angles. The Dutch guards fired on the vessel, which disappeared toward the German frontier in great distress.
