[BT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Chbistchubch, Friday. It is reported that there is inquiry for wheat on the part of Southern millers, and offers of 4s 8d have been made. Except in one case, however, this price has been refused. The fact that Southern buyers are in the market has also stimulated some local inquiry. Owing to the rise in potatoes in Melbourne and Sydney, the local market is firmer, and prices now range from £7 5s to £7 10s at country stations. No business of any consequence is passing in other lines of produce. Hams and bacon have advanced Ad per lb. For new season's factory cheese Sid. and for new dairy cheese 7-|d to 8d is being given for local consumption. PROPERTY SALES. A six-roomed dwelling in Roee Road, Grey Lynn, was disposed of at auction yesterday by Messrs. R. Arthur and Company for £490. The same firm al&» sold a cottage in Church Street, Onehunga, having an allotment 37ft by 147 ft, for £370. Messrs. T. Mandeno Jackson report that at the sale of the Pukehuia township yesterday by auction, 57 sections were sold, including the Omana boardinghouse, at £1,600, and, after the sale, 28 more sections were sold.
