BOWLERS' ASSISTANCE.
CENTRES CO-OPERATING. The proposal that bowlers as a body should do something for the New Zealandera at the front promises to be a success. Although there may be more than one channel through which the bowlers are giving, the main object is being attained. Bowlers, as such, are identifying themselves with the movements which are on foot for the benefit of returned wounded soldiers. In connection with the convalescent home, Mr. A. M. Bryden. secretary of the Auckland centre, has received letters from East Coast and Wanganui centres expressing approval of the scheme undertaken by the bowlers of Auckland. They are prepared to join in with the Auckland centre in equipping a convalescent home at Rotorua. The matter of receiving support from the centre;; will be taken into consideration by the management committee at its next meeting.
