SITUATION OF* THE UTMOST GRAVITY.
• „• ~ London, October 1. y ? .The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Sir Edward Grey, jv made the following statement in the House of Commons to-day :— "Information, has been received that Austrian and 4 German officers have for several days been arriving in Bulgaria with a view to'taking - an active part in directing the army. This action is similar to that taken in Turkey in 1914, when German officers forced Turkey to make an unprovoked attack on Russia. »
"Since the allied Powers are bound to support the States threatened by such proceedings in Bulgaria, the news is regarded as of the utmost gravity." , .
