AMERICA STUDYING THE METHODS EMPLOYED.
(Received Octobet 3. 7.20 p.m.) Washington, October 2. The Government is studying British methods of dealing with submarines, with a view to adopting them. These include a special type of mine, destroyers, trawlers, sea-going motor-boats armed with light guns, and aeroplanes. The statement is made that already sixty submarines have been destroyed.
