BEDROOM FURNISHING.

No small part of the beauty of the bedroom of to-day lies in the accessories that go to make the surroundings and furniture more attractive by the colour introduced or the sheen or design of the fabrics.

The covering for the bed during the day is one in which there is a good deal of choice. In bedrooms where cretonne is used for window hangings or other draperies ' the bed always looks well and in Keeping spread with a cover of white linen -with insets of Clunv lace. These are very easily made, and the hand embroidery is often added in vine designs or clusters on the linen. Every kind of linen is used, from the fine handkerchief to the heavy toilet, but of course the finer the material the finer the lace. The lingerie pillow covers are always made so that tney button and buttonhole on the undecorated side, so that they can be. easily removed to be laundered.
