WILL MADE IN BERLIN.

WAR AFFECTS ADMINISTRATION". *

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PEWS ASSOCIATION j ejxixgton, Friday. On" behalf of Emma Jane Roberts, wife of Charles Roberts. Pukerimu. Cambridge, . Mr. Watson applied at the Supreme Court to the Chief Justice for an order appointing Mrs. Roberts as administrator of the estate of her late brother, James Henry Holder, so long as a state of war exists in New Zealand and for such period thereafter as His Honor might deem proper. The facts of the case, said Mr. Watson, were that James Henry Holder" i had gone to reside in Berlin "with his wife, Dorothea Margaretlia Holder, and had there made his will, devising two-thirds of his estate to his wife, and the remaining third to his sister. The testator died in Berlin in January, 1913, and administration of the estate and of the effects of the deceased was granted to Edward John Dickin, a trustee under the will. He ■ however, died in January last, before the estate was fully administered, and by reason of the war it was at present impossible for any communication to take place between Mrs. Roberts or any other person interested in the estate -and Mrs. Holder, who was still residing in Berlin. His Honor granted the application.
