MUST TREAT WITH THE ALLIES JOINTLY.
(Received September 16. 8 p.m.)
London-, September 15Replying to a question by Mr. D. Mason. Liberal member for Coventry, Lord Robert Cecil, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Foreign Office, said that Germany had not made proposals for peace. He could not at present imagine any proposals which could be entertained for a moment by the allies. No consideration would be given to any suggestion of peace except jointly with the allies, and in pursuance of treaty obligations.
